# Plumber Referral Program — get paid for the water damage you can't bill.

**Restoration Doctor** (VA Water Damage LLC dba Restoration Doctor)
Phone: (888) 293-5663 · office@restorationdoctors.com
Address: 8609 Westwood Center Dr, Ste 110-1062, Vienna, VA 22182
Program area: Northern Virginia and Washington DC.

> TL;DR: Restoration Doctor runs a plumber referral program for licensed plumbing contractors across Northern Virginia and Washington DC. You hand off the water damage you cannot bill; we respond within a 60-minute target, mitigate to IICRC S500, and bill the carrier directly. We hold no plumbing license, so every plumbing repair uncovered on the job returns to the referring plumber in writing. Referral payments are flat, disclosed, paid the same week the job is invoiced, and never recovered from the homeowner's claim. Call (888) 293-5663.

You cap the line and the leak stops. The soaked drywall, the wet subfloor, the ceiling in the room below — none of that is on your invoice, and none of it is your problem to carry. Hand it to us instead: 60-minute target response across Northern Virginia and DC, the insurance claim handled end to end, every plumbing repair we uncover routed straight back to you, and your referral paid the same week the job is invoiced.

## How the handoff works

01. **You find the water. One call or one text.** — You are already standing there with your hand on the shutoff. Text an address and a photo to our dispatch line, or call (888) 293-5663 and hand the phone to the homeowner if that is faster. That is the entire ask. You do not fill out a claim form, you do not wait around to meet our truck, and you do not have to close the homeowner for us. If they want to sleep on it, fine — we come when they call.
02. **We roll a crew, mitigate, and bill the carrier.** — Crews stage out of Vienna and run around the clock. We extract, pull what has to come out, set containment and drying equipment, log daily moisture and psychrometric readings to IICRC S500, and photograph the whole job. Then we build the estimate, deal with the adjuster, and bill the insurance company directly. On a covered loss your customer usually writes exactly one check — their deductible.
03. **The plumbing comes back to you. So does the money.** — Rebuild-side plumbing is yours: resetting the fixtures we pulled, the supply line that failed inside the wall, the drain the camera picked up on the way through. Your company goes on the job file as the plumber of record and the homeowner gets your number. Your referral payment is issued the same week that job is invoiced, and a monthly statement lists every job you sent, where it stands, and what it paid.

## The Partner Covenant

Everything above this line is marketing until somebody commits to it. This is the commitment. It applies to every job you send us, starting with the first one, and it does not change once you have sent us fifty.

01. **We never do plumbing.** Zero plumbing licenses, zero plumbing trucks, zero temptation. Restoration Doctor is a mitigation and restoration contractor — water, fire, mold, sewage, and the reconstruction that follows. We are not licensed to pull a plumbing permit in Virginia and we have no intention of becoming licensed. There is no version of this partnership where we quietly grow a plumbing division on the back of your referrals.
02. **Every plumbing repair we uncover goes back to the referring plumber. In writing.** When we open a wall and find the second failure — the corroded branch, the bad joint, the water heater three years past its life — your company name is already on the job file as plumber of record, and that is the number the homeowner gets. It is written into the file, not remembered as a favor. If the homeowner insists on someone else, we tell you that instead of quietly letting it go.
03. **Your customer stays your customer.** We work the loss. You keep the relationship. We do not sell your customer a maintenance plan, we do not leave another contractor's magnet on their fridge, and we do not market to them after the file closes. You introduced us into that house; that introduction is the only reason we are standing in it.
04. **Transparent referral terms — never recovered from the homeowner's claim.** Your referral payment is a flat, disclosed, business-to-business payment from us to you. It is not a percentage, it is not scope-dependent, and it does not appear as a line item on anybody's estimate. It never touches the homeowner's invoice and it is never recovered from their carrier — it comes out of our margin, which is exactly why it stays flat. Ask for the line-item estimate on any job you referred and check it yourself.

## What you get paid, and how it works

Plumbers have every reason to be suspicious of restoration referral money, and most of that suspicion is earned. So here is the whole mechanism, in plain terms, before you give us a phone number.

- **A flat payment per referred job** — One number per job we take on, agreed before you send the first one. Not a percentage of the estimate. Not scope-based. Not larger because we found more damage behind the wall. Flat is the point: it removes any reason for either of us to want that job to be bigger than it actually is.
- **Paid the same week the job is invoiced** — You are not waiting on the carrier and you are not waiting on the homeowner's mortgage company. When our mitigation invoice goes out, your payment goes out — check or ACH, your call. A monthly statement follows with every job you referred, the address, the current status, and what it paid.
- **Never recovered from the homeowner's claim** — The referral payment comes out of our margin. It is not padded into the estimate, not billed to the carrier, and not passed along to your customer. We do not inflate scope and we do not leave equipment running past dry standard to build hours — the daily readings are in the file and you are welcome to read them.
- **Or bank credit instead of cash** — Some shops would rather not take a check at all. You can bank the same value as service credit against your own emergency work. If one of your techs nicks a supply line in a finished basement, you call us, we clean it up, and it draws down your balance instead of your insurance. Several partners keep a balance sitting there for exactly that day.
- **No cost, no exclusivity, no quota** — Joining costs nothing. There is no minimum, no territory lock, and nothing stopping you from sending work to somebody else next week. If we ever embarrass you in front of a customer, stop calling us — that is the only enforcement this program needs, and it keeps us honest better than a contract would.

We do not print a dollar figure on this page on purpose. The rate moves with the type of work and we would rather commit to a real number on a real call than publish one and quietly walk it back later. Call and ask — you will have it in about ninety seconds.

## Your referral is your reputation. Here is what you are lending it to.

- **60-minute target response** — Crews stage from Vienna and run 24/7. Across the Northern Virginia core we target on-site arrival within an hour of the call — including 2 a.m. on a holiday weekend, which is when most of these calls actually happen. If we cannot hit the window on a given night, you hear that on the phone instead of your customer hearing it on their doorstep. (https://restorationdoctors.com/emergency-water-damage)
- **IICRC-certified crews, warrantied work** — S500 for water, S520 for mold. Moisture meters and psychrometric readings logged daily and photographed, so drying ends when the structure is actually dry. Our mitigation work is warrantied — if something we did comes back, it comes back to us, and it never lands on the plumber who made the introduction.
- **We bill the carrier, not your customer** — Xactimate estimates, adjuster negotiation, and the whole claim file handled on our side. On a covered loss your customer typically pays their deductible and nothing else. That is the part that makes you look good three weeks later, when they are telling their neighbor who sent us. (https://restorationdoctors.com/insurance-claims)
- **30 Northern Virginia cities covered** — Vienna, Arlington, Alexandria, McLean, Reston, Fairfax, Falls Church, Ashburn, Leesburg, Manassas, Woodbridge and the rest of the map, plus Washington DC and the Maryland suburbs. If your trucks run in NoVA, we cover your service area — you never have to check first. (https://restorationdoctors.com/locations)
- **4.9 stars, publicly** — A 4.9-star average across 1,777 Google reviews, and a photo record of the work behind it. Before you spend your reputation on us, go read what the last few hundred homeowners said — that is the only due diligence this decision really needs. (https://restorationdoctors.com/before-after)
- **Your commercial accounts too** — Property managers, HOAs, restaurants, medical suites, and multifamily buildings run on the same terms — same 60-minute target, same covenant, same referral. A burst riser in a 40-unit building is exactly the call we want you handing off. (https://restorationdoctors.com/commercial)

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you do plumbing yourselves?

No. Restoration Doctor holds no plumbing license, runs no plumbing trucks, and does not pull plumbing permits. We are a water, fire, mold, and sewage mitigation and restoration contractor. Any plumbing repair discovered on a job you referred goes back to your company by name on the job file.

### What happens to MY customer?

They stay yours. We work the loss and hand the relationship back the day the structure is dry. We do not sell them a maintenance plan, we do not market to them after the file closes, and we never introduce them to another plumbing contractor.

### How fast do you show up?

Target on-site arrival is 60 minutes across the Northern Virginia core, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Crews stage out of Vienna. If we cannot hit that window on a particular night, we tell you on the phone rather than let you promise your customer something we cannot deliver. Dispatch: (888) 293-5663.

### How and when do I get paid?

A flat payment per referred job we take on, issued the same week that job is invoiced, by check or ACH. You get a monthly statement listing every job you sent, its status, and what it paid. If you would rather not take cash, you can bank the same value as service credit against your own emergency cleanups.

### What if the homeowner has no coverage?

We still come out, and the assessment is still free. If the loss is not covered, we scope it as a direct-pay job at a price the homeowner approves before we start anything, and your referral is paid the same either way once they hire us. If they decide to dry it with box fans instead, nobody owes anybody anything.

### Do you cover my whole service area?

Northern Virginia and Washington DC — Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William, the City of Alexandria and Falls Church, plus the Maryland suburbs out of our DC side. We publish 30 Northern Virginia city pages and we work everything between them. If you are unsure about one specific town, call and ask before you promise a customer.

### What do I actually have to do?

Send a text with an address and a photo, or make one phone call. That is it. You do not fill out claim paperwork, you do not wait on site for us, and you take on no liability for our work. Sign up once with your name, company, and phone number — after that it is one text per job.
