About Restoration Doctor
A Vienna-based restoration company serving all of Northern Virginia — water, fire, storm, mold, and sewage, mitigated and rebuilt under one accountable operation.
A Northern Virginia restoration company
Restoration Doctor is the operating brand of VA Water Damage LLC, a property restoration company headquartered in Vienna and serving homeowners and businesses across Northern Virginia. We handle the emergencies that turn a normal week upside down — a burst supply line, a flooded basement, a fire, a sewer backup, a storm that opens the roof — and we handle them from the first extraction to the final coat of paint.
The work is built on a simple conviction: most of the friction in a property-damage claim comes from a documentation gap, and the way to close it is to do the work to a recognized standard and prove it. Water losses are worked to the ANSI/IICRC S500 standard, mold to S520, and Category 3 sewage under full biohazard protocols. Every project is photographed with date and time stamps, moisture-mapped, and written up in the format your insurance carrier already uses — so the scope that lands on an adjuster's desk is one they can approve rather than argue with.
Just as important is that we keep the whole project in-house. Water damage rarely ends at drying — someone has to replace the flood-cut drywall, reset the baseboards, repair the plumbing failure that started it, and repaint. Because our teams cover mitigation, licensed plumbing and electrical, carpentry, and full reconstruction, your home goes from emergency to finished under one accountable operation, not passed between companies while it sits half-done.

The uniformed technicians, licensed tradesmen, and project managers who mitigate, document, and rebuild every loss under one Vienna-based operation.

How we document a loss
The same evidence stack runs on every project, producing a file that stands on its own in front of a homeowner, an adjuster, or a third-party reviewer.
Date- and time-stamped CompanyCam documentation from arrival through completion, screened for privacy before anything is published.
Daily moisture readings, temperature and humidity records, and equipment placement — proof the structure was dried to standard, not to schedule.
Estimates written in the platform adjusters use, with line-item F9 notes explaining what was done and why, built for first-pass approval.
Thermal imaging and pinless meters locate hidden water so drying equipment goes exactly where the moisture is, room by room.
How we run every project
Six operating principles that govern every crew and every claim file we open.
Emergency mitigation, licensed plumbing and electrical, carpentry, and full reconstruction all live under one roof — so your home goes from emergency to finished without the gap where two contractors point at each other.
We log a moisture baseline and take daily readings, and we call a structure dry only when materials hit documented targets — not when a fixed number of days has passed.
Every phase is photographed with date and time stamps and estimated in Xactimate with line-item notes, so your claim file can be approved on first review instead of kicked back for revisions.
Modern drying equipment preserves far more material than it used to. We demolish only what genuinely cannot be dried in place — which lowers your cost and shortens the rebuild.
Homeowners, adjusters, and property managers get written, evidence-backed answers they can file and forward — because a documented position survives a claim and a verbal one does not.
Water does not wait for business hours. Our dispatch runs 24/7 out of Vienna and targets on-site arrival within an hour across the Northern Virginia core.
Licensing & industry standards
Every scope is anchored to the recognized standard for its loss category — not to preference or convenience.
Water losses are worked to the ANSI/IICRC S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration — category and class determination, drying goals, and daily monitoring documented against it. Mold remediation follows ANSI/IICRC S520: containment, HEPA filtration, negative air, and post-remediation verification. Category 3 sewage losses are handled under full biohazard protocols with documented PPE use and disposal.
Restoration Doctor operates as a Virginia Class A Contractor, licensed and insured, and is BBB accredited. We work for you, not your insurance company: we bill you directly and hand you a complete, carrier-ready claim file — line-item Xactimate estimate, time-stamped photos, and daily moisture logs, all in the industry-standard formats an adjuster can audit line by line — so you have everything you need to be reimbursed fairly by your insurer.
